Gareth Bale's agent questioned about Manchester United move by TV presenter Jim White

The 28-year-old's future at the Bernabeu is in some doubt.

Monaco's teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe is wanted by Madrid this summer.

Bale could be the player to make way for Mbappe in the team and Madrid may look to sell before the end of the month.

Jose Mourinho admitted his interest in signing Bale ahead of tonight's (7.45pm) UEFA Super Cup clash between Madrid and United.

And Mourinho suggested should Zinedine Zidane leave the Wales international out of his starting XI in Macedonia, it will say a lot about his future.

United are ready to fight for Bale, and Express Sport understands Chelsea are also serious contenders in the race should he be made available.

However, TV presenter Jim White has been told talk of a move is rubbish by one of Bale's agents.

"I've been speaking to one of his representatives and its not all its cracked up to be," White told talkSPORT. 

"Is it likely to happen? It certainly doesn't seem that way.

"I've been speaking to one of Bale's representatives [and I asked] is it likely? Would he move?

"He text back: 'Why would he? Also I don't talk about rubbish journalism.'"

While suggestions of a move to United for Gareth Bale continue to be played down, Mourinho could yet step up his pursuit.

The Red Devils boss spoke with the former Tottenham forward after Madrid and United's International Champions Cup encounter last month.

And it remains to be seen if Bale will feature tonight against Manchester United.
