Arsenal and Liverpool have launched bids for Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez - report

ARSENAL and Liverpool have made bids for Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez, reports say.

Stewart Robson: Gareth Bale's time at Real Madrid is limited

Real Madrid star Vazquez is facing an uncertain future at the Bernabeu after Los Blancos’ transfer dealings this summer.

The La Liga and Champions League winners have spent pre-season trimming their squad with attackers such as James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata leaving for Bayern Munich and Chelsea respectively.

And, with Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and new signing Dani Ceballos above him in the pecking order, Vazquez could be forced to go.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are in the market for new forwards with the futures of Philippe Coutinho and Alexis Sanchez still far from clear.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim both teams have made bids for Vazquez.

It is said that, though he loves life in Spain, the 26-year-old is concerned that he will find regular game time tough to come by next season.

He has a good relationship with heavyweights such as Ronaldo and club captain Sergio Ramos but knows his best chance of minutes will be if someone like Bale is injured.

As a result, he is fearing for his future and has supposedly instructed his agent to consider offer.

And Liverpool and Arsenal are named as the two teams - as well as Serie A giants Roma - who have so far made formal bids.

Diario Gol add that Real president Floretino Perez wants Vazquez to stay but the player’s wish could ultimately force him to cash in.
