Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: I don’t want Arsene Wenger’s sympathy

Conte has been vocal about the need to improve his Chelsea squad and add greater strength in depth.

Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero so far but Conte is working with less than 30 players.

When asked about the situation, Wenger said: "I have sympathy for him.

"But do I feel sorry for Chelsea as they don't have enough problems? Then no.

"Maybe he has the opposite problem [to me]. But if you look at the number of players on loan, they can call a few back."

But Conte has now responded saying: “I am not looking for sympathy from other coaches in this situation.

“If the club decides to send on loan the players for development it means the players are not ready to play for Chelsea.”
