Real Madrid News: Zidane and Perez split on transfer deal for Arsenal star Sanchez

REAL MADRID boss Zinedine Zidane and club president Florentino Perez reportedly have differing thoughts about a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

With just over two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Arsenal star Sanchez's future remains a source of much discussion.

The Chile international was initially hankering for a move away, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain among his suitors.

However, Arsenal have so far resisted any bids for the Chile international, who bagged 30 goals across all competitions last season.

His current deal expires next summer yet, though it would mean he could depart for free in 12 months time, Arsenal want to keep him for one more year.

Real Madrid are divided over whether to join the race for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez

Real Madrid have been linked with him in recent days as they look for a striker to fill the void left by Alvaro Morata's move to Chelsea.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon says Zidane is an admirer of the 28-year-old.

The Madrid boss thinks he is a tremendous player, capable of scoring goals, while his past links to Barcelona also makes a deal an attractive proposition.

However, club president Perez thinks differently.

The 70-year-old supposedly reckons Arsenal will charge a huge amount for a player who will cost nothing in a year's time.

And he also feels that, at the age of 28, he is already in the peak years of his career.

Instead, Perez still harbours hope of landing Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

PSG appear to have stolen a march on Los Blancos for the 18-year-old but, given his childhood dream was to ply his trade at the Bernabeu, Real think they can get a deal done.
