Manchester United were keen to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid at the start of the summer.

Jose Mourinho had earmarked the France international as his No1 choice to lead the Old Trafford line this season.

Griezmann himself admitted there was a 'six out of 10' chance he would be plying his trade in the Premier League.

However, Atletico's transfer ban ultimately saw the striker commit his future to Diego Simeone's side.

United have since wrapped up a deal for Romelu Lukaku, while Mourinho also recently confirmed they were in talks over a new deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Antoine Griezmann could yet leave Atletico Madrid for Manchester United

But Spanish outlet Don Balon have sensationally claimed there is still a possibility of Griezmann joining the Red Devils.

It is said he is concerned for Atletico's future with their bid to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa in January currently dead in the water.

And the situation of Oblak is also weighing on his mind.

The Slovenia international is being tipped to sign for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, who are willing to meet his £85million release clause.

And Griezmann supposedly is ready to consider a move to United if Oblak departs.
