Gary Neville: Man Utd are just a world-class winger away from having a complete squad
GARY NEVILLE insists Manchester United are still missing a world-class winger to have the 'complete squad'.
Manchester United stars DANCE in dressing room
Jose Mourinho has already spent close to £150million on Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.
The Portuguese tactician has identified a winger as a priority and has been chasing Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
However, Bale looks set to stay at the Bernabeu, while a deal for Perisic has dragged on the entire summer without much progress.
And Neville is convinced that a winger is the missing piece of the jigsaw for the Red Devils, as it is not Marcus Rashford's favoured position.
Gary Neville doesn't think Marcus Rashford is a natural winger
Is Rashford a wide player - not really? That is where United could get one world class winger
"Is Rashford a wide player - not really?," Neville told Sky Sports.
"That is where United could get one world class winger and it would be a complete squad.
"They have to challenge this year.
Gary Neville thinks Manchester United are crying out for a winger
"Last season was not good enough and it was a big under performance from the players."
United opened their Premier League campaign with a 4-0 victory at home to West Ham yesterday.
The win sees them occupy top spot in the table.
