Udinese want to keen Greece international Karnezis but the 32-year-old is keen to leave the club.

Napoli are also said to be interested in the player - but appear to have missed out on a deal.

“Karnezis will play in England for one from Watford, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace,” his agent Vasileios Panagiotakis told Calcionapoli24.it.

“The Napoli option is now definitively off the table.”

Karnezis joined Udinese three years ago from Granada and has been their first-choice goalkeeper.

But the temptation to move to the Premier League appears to be too much for the ex-Panathinaikos shot-stopper.

Newcastle are seeking a new goalkeeper, with Tim Krul on loan at Dutch side AZ for the season.

They have already failed to land Napoli's Pepe Reina this summer.

Palace supposedly want competition for Wayne Hennessey, who conceded three in Palace’s Premier League opening-day defeat to Huddersfield last weekend.

And Watford’s Heurelho Gomes struggled to impress in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Liverpool.
