Tony Gale gives Premier League top-four predictions: Man City or Man Utd to win title

TONY GALE reckons the Premier League title will be heading to Manchester.

Iconic Premier League moments that happened off the pitch

Manchester City and Manchester United have both been strongly backed by pundits and are favourites with the bookies to be battling for the trophy come May, having spent big during the transfer window.

And former West Ham defender-turned-pundit Gale has now weighed in with his views on who will finish in the top four - and it's bad news for Liverpool and Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp's side secured a Champions League spot on the last day of the season back in May while the Gunners failed to secure a top four finish for the first time under Arsene Wenger's tenure.

And Gale believes the same scenario could pan out again this time around with both clubs weak at the back.

Tony Gale reckons Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will be battling it out for the title

For me, if you look at it like that, Liverpool and Arsenal have not got enough as what the other sides have got at the moment.

"I think Manchester City and Manchester United top two, definitely," Gale said on Sky Sports.

"Chelsea and Spurs after that so the northern swing has come in and the London swing has come out.

"For me, if you look at it like that, Liverpool and Arsenal have not got enough as what the other sides have got at the moment.

"I still believe Chelsea are going to make some big signings.

Liverpool's defensive woes could cost them a top four finish, says Tony Gale

"I think Arsenal and Liverpool going forward are a threat to anyone but I think they've got defence frailties."

Gale was proven right as Arsenal and Liverpool both conceded three goals each on their opening Premier League fixture.

The Gunners edged a 4-3 thriller against Leicester at the Emirates, while Liverpool dropped points by conceding a sloppy late equaliser to Watford in their meeting at Vicarage Road.
