Jose Mourinho singles Anthony Martial out for praise after Man Utd thrash Swansea

JOSE MOURINHO has singled out Manchester United super sub Anthony Martial out for praise after today's win over Swansea.

Mourinho lauds 'confident' Man Utd after Swansea thrashing

Martial came on after 75 minutes for Marcus with Manchester United beating Swansea 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

The Frenchman injected pace and creativity into the United attack and helped Mourinho's side to a second 4-0 win on the bounce with the fourth goal.

He did the same in the 4-0 demolition of West Ham last weekend, coming on with 10 minutes to go and grabbed a goal and set up another.

And Mourinho is delighted with Martial's contribution, despite him playing a bit-part role so far.

The Red Devils manager said: "Anthony Martial is working hard. He is confident.

"The French language connection is there to help him a lot and get to the level we know he can be because the potential is huge."

Mourinho admits he had to look for a second goal this afternoon to avoid conceding at the other end.

"Happiness in our play," he added. "It happened to me so much with my teams, you winning 1-0 and you can can concede.

"There was no need to close the door, just let the horses run freely."
