Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool all want to sign Jean Seri

Nice star Seri has a £36.7million release clause in his contract.

The 26-year-old has been monitored by Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks after an impressive season at Nice last term.

Barcelona are supposedly ready to bid for the Ivory Coast international if Liverpool refuse to sell Philippe Coutinho.

A number of Spanish newspapers are claiming Barca are closing in on a deal for the player.

But Seri says he’s heard nothing about it.

Barcelona will move for Jean Seri if Liverpool snub their bid for Philippe Coutinho

"I'm not in contact with anyone,” he told reporters in France after yesterday’s 2-0 win over Guingamp.

"I focus on what I have to do.

“If my agents and Barcelona see each other and talk, I don't know anything about that.

"If it happens, it happens. I'm still a Nice player today, and we'll see what happens later."

Liverpool have identified Seri as a viable target to join the centre of their midfield.

He is not seen as a replacement for Coutinho.

Arsenal themselves are keen to strengthen their midfield and are expected to free up space by offloading Jack Wilshere.

Football.London claim the two Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on developments in France.

Asked again about Barca’s interest, Seri said: "It's not the time to think about it.

"There are a lot of things to do, notably our qualification, and that's the most important thing for me."
