Liverpool transfer news: Barcelona obliged to make final Philippe Coutinho offer - Balague

BARCELONA feel morally obliged to make another bid for Philippe Coutinho despite knowing it will fail, according to Guillem Balague.

Jurgen Klopp's hilarious reaction to Philippe Coutinho question

Barcelona are lining up a bid of £138m for the Liverpool star following his official transfer request.

Barca have already had three bids rejected, the last totalling £118m but being made up of a number of payments over time.

And Liverpool will not sell this close to the transfer deadline regardless of the figure Barca come up with.

“The offer FCB is preparing of €150 (110+40) for Coutinho is cause they feel morally obliged after his Transfer Request, but FCB pessimistic abt Couti/Dembl, looking for others,” Balague said on Twitter.

“LFC insist they will reject fourth offer (if & when), their stance is "definitive”.”

And Barcelona have now agreed a deal with Angel Di Maria and should be able to come to an agreement with PSG, who need to sell players after the signing of Neymar.

However there is some suggestions that PSG will snub a move due to the acrimony over the Neymar move and the Marco Verratti approach earlier in the summer.

“FCB have personal agreement with di Maria (as they had with Seri),” Balague added.

“Strangely, PSG will be helped (FPP) by FCB's money IF offer accepted.”

Di Maria is being lined up as a replacement for Neymar with Barca also hoping to strike a deal for Ousmane Dembele.

“FCB will offer same amount (€110-40) for Dembele. But Dortmund want a bigger fixed sum,” Balague added.
