LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has backed Manchester United to win the title if they keep playing the way they have been.

Manchester United have been quick off the mark as they aim to win the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's time in charge.

The Red Devils have hit eight goals without reply - with Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan blossoming.

And Klopp thinks that, given their defensive ability, Manchester United look likeliest to be crowned champions come May.

"In this moment it looks like Man Utd will be champions without conceding a goal! It's really early in the season," he said.

While United have been solid at the back, Liverpool already look shaky.

The Reds' defensive woes nearly derailed their campaign last season and, on Sunday, they will go up against Arsenal.

To make matters worse, Arsene Wenger's team are expected to welcome Alexis Sanchez back into the fold.

But Klopp insists Liverpool will not be focusing solely on the Chile international.

“He is pretty much involved in each situation," he added.

"He is not fixed on one position. Very dominant.

"We don’t have to think too much about it. We defend in spaces so we don’t follow him all around the pitch. We need to stop the passes. If you’re too much concentrated on him then Ozil will show up, Lacazette, Walcott, Welbeck... oh my God!

“When we have the ball we have to know when to play.”
