The Spaniard has started both of United's opening Premier League matches this season, including 4-0 wins over West Ham United and Swansea City.

He told the BBC: "This is the perfect start. We are feeling great about it, but we are also calm about it.

"This is just the beginning so we need to keep going."

Earlier, Mata said: "One thing is for sure, we have reasons to be happy with the confidence and determination that we are showing on the pitch, but we also know that this is just the beginning.

"We have a new opportunity to keep gaining momentum, this time against Leicester, always a tough opponent.

"It would be great to take the first international break of the season with nine points out of nine."

Manchester United will play Leicester City today at Old Trafford (5.30pm).

Build-up to the game has largely been overshadowed by the announcement that United has re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic is not expected to feature until the second half of the season as he continues his return from injury.
