Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has received considerable criticism after his side was beaten 4-0 by Liverpool on Sunday.

Some Gunners supporters made their feelings heard by chanting "We want Wenger out" and vented their frustrations at the players.

After the match, Wenger urged fans to stick by him and the team and apologised if some felt he was to blame.

“If some people feel as if I am the problem, then I am sorry that I am the problem," Wenger told Sky Sports.

“But we want our fans to be with us even in a losing performance like that."

He added: "The only thing we can do is come back and give them a better performance."

But the anger around the Emirates has spilled out even further with individuals making clear how they feel by spraying ‘Wenger Out’ outside the stadium.

The same phrase was trending on Twitter yesterday with journalist Piers Morgan leading the way.

He tweeted: “Worst Arsenal team & performance I've ever had the misery to endure. #WengerOUT.”

Eastenders actor Jake Wood wrote: “Wenger should've gone over the summer. Not good enough #arsenal #WengerOut.”
