Transfer News: Real Madrid may sell Bale and Benzema to Man Utd and Liverpool - report

REAL MADRID may reportedly let Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema leave for Manchester United and Liverpool prior to Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Manchester United have spent the summer pursuing Bale despite Real Madrid’s insistence the Wales international is not for sale.

Benzema, meanwhile, has emerged as a potential superstar target for Liverpool should Philippe Coutinho seal a move to Barcelona.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claims both players could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu in the coming days.

Liverpool’s need for a striker remains obvious with Daniel Sturridge’s injuries plaguing his contribution in recent years.

Divock Origi has the potential to be an Anfield great but, speaking after the Reds’ 4-0 thumping of Arsenal on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp hinted he may be allowed to leave Merseyside.

“We will see,” Klopp said.

“That’s not something to talk about here. If players come in, I think it makes sense to think about what we do on the other side.”

Benzema’s form has waned over in Madrid in recent seasons - which is part of the reason why they were so keen to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco prior to Paris Saint-Germain’s interest.

As for Bale, and Don Balon says there is a chance he may move to Manchester United.

The former Tottenham star has endured a difficult start to the new campaign with the rise of Marco Asensio also contributing to that.

Express Sport understands Arsenal want Asensio but Real are unlikely to let the 21-year-old leave.

Consequently, Bale could end up at Manchester United.

However, Spanish football expert Gullem Balague claims no bid has yet been made.

The Red Devils are supposedly hopeful the decision of Madrid fans to boo him in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Valencia will force him out.
