Liverpool transfer news: Naby Keita deal confirmed - midfielder 'delighted' to join

LIVERPOOL have confirmed they have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Naby Keita next summer.

Liverpool are thought to have paid a premium on the release clause of £48m which comes into effect next summer and Keita underwent a medical yesterday.

Keita will sign for Liverpool on July 1 2018.

The 22-year-old will spend his final season with RB Leipzig with the club, in the Champions League for the first time, but admits he is excited to join Liverpool next season.

“I am delighted that an agreement has been reached which will allow me to join Liverpool Football Club next summer, when I will become part of a project that excites me greatly,” he said.
