Everton transfer news: Fernando Llorente could join Ronald Koeman's Toffees

That is the shout from journalist Matt Law.

Llorente is a top target for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, as he looks to bolster his squad before Thursday’s 11pm transfer deadline.

But the Swansea striker could end up playing under Ronald Koeman at Everton.

Koeman is still looking for a striker to replace Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park, despite spending over £130million on signings this summer.

Forwards Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramirez and Gylfi Sigurdsson have all arrived but the Toffees are still lacking an out-and-out striker to replace Lukaku’s 25 Premier League goals now he is at rivals Manchester United.

And journalist Law has suggested that Koeman could make a late move to hijack Chelsea’s interest in 32-year-old Llorente.

“Here’s a left-field one and this is a little bit of a punt, which my sports editor will tell me off for not writing in the paper if it comes off - is Llorente to Everton, rather than Chelsea,” Law said on The Telegraph’s Total Football podcast.

“I’ve got a feeling there gonna have a little go for him.

“Very different type of player [to Lukaku], but I think he’d fit them quite well actually.”

Llorente scored 15 Premier League goals for Swansea last season and was nearly signed by Chelsea in January.

But the Swans refused to sell mid-season and while it looked like the Spaniard would move this summer a freak injury hit his chances of leaving the Liberty Stadium.

Llorente suffered a fractured arm in a cycling accident while he was on holiday during the summer break has missed Swansea’s first four games of the season.

But the former Juventus man is back in training and could be set for a late deadline move.
