Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners want Sergio Aguero in Alexis Sanchez swap deal - Solhekol

Sanchez has been linked with a move to Manchester City throughout the summer, with his current Arsenal deal up at the end of the season.

Reports today claimed City were willing to include winger Raheem Sterling in any deal for the Chile forward.

However, Solhekol now says Aguero is the player Arsenal want if Sanchez was to leave the club before the transfer window shuts on Thursday.

"Manchester City will make an offer for Alexis Sanchez this week is what we’re being told," Solhekol said on Sky Sports.

"We also understand City are desperate to sign Sanchez before the window closes on Thursday.

"Listen to this, one source has confirmed to us that City are willing to offer Raheem Sterling as part of any potential deal.

"Another player who could potentially be involved in any deal, this is what one source is telling us, is Sergio Aguero.

"City are saying Aguero is not for sale, they’ve been saying that for a very, very long time.

"We’re also told Sanchez is unhappy and wants to leave Arsenal, although Arsenal’s official position remains that Sanchez is happy, he’s staying at Arsenal, even though he has less than a year left on his contract." 

Sanchez is currently on international duty with Chile but he has asked to leave the training camp to sort out a transfer.
