REAL MADRID TRANSFER NEWS LIVE UPDATES: GARETH BALE, MARCO ASENSIO AND CRISTIANO RONALDO LATEST

Friday September 1

Zidane unhappy with Bale

21:00: Zinedine Zidane is reportedly unhappy with Gareth Bale for refusing move to Manchester United.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Frenchman will not forgive Bale as he feels it cost his side the chance to sign Kylian Mbappe.

The starlet instead joined PSG on loan with the option to buy for £166m at the end of the season.

Mbappe snub

12:05: Kylian Mbappe’s father has revealed the reason why he chose to join Paris Saint-Germain over Real Madrid.

“Ever since Zidane became Ancelotti’s assistant I thought that he would not have the time to pay attention to his development,” said Mbappe’s father to ESPN.

“Had he kept going as Castilla’s coach we would’ve chosen Madrid instead of Monaco at the time,”

Dybala swoop

09:15: Paulo Dybala would prefer a move to Real Madrid over Barcelona.

The Juventus star has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp.

But he’s grown tired of waiting for a formal approach from the Catalans.

That’s according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon who say a move for the Argentine is now off the table.

But according to another publication, Diario Gol, Dybala now wants a move to Real Madrid instead.

It’s suggested Florentino Perez will swoop for the 23-year-old next summer following secret talks.

Mbappe speaks out

01:30: Kylian Mbappe has revealed the real reason why he turned down the opportunity to join Real Madrid in favour of Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international was heavily linked with a move to Spain earlier in the summer but in a sensational late twist he has joined PSG on a season-long loan.

And Mbappe has revealed it was always his dream to play for Paris.

“It is with great joy and pride that I join Paris Saint-Germain,” Mbappe said.

“For any young person from the Paris region, it is often a dream to wear the red and blue jersey and experience the unique atmosphere of the Parc des Princes.

“I really wanted to be a part of the club’s project, which is one of the most ambitious in Europe. Alongside my new teammates, I intend to continue my progression while helping the team achieve the very big objectives it has set itself.”

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang Real Madrid transferGETTY

Real Madrid could sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Spain's deadline day

Llorente bids

17:00: Real Madrid have received 20 offers for Marcos Llorente this week.

"That is considering that we have not replied to a single question in the past two weeks," a Real source told Spanish newspaper Marca.

Sevilla, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all want to sign Llorente.

Aubameyang latest

16:13: Real Madrid could rekindle their interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before tomorrow’s transfer deadline because they cannot sign Kylian Mbappe.

But the opportunity to land Aubameyang may be too tempting to turn down after Mbappe closed in on a deal to PSG today, claims Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.

“For so long (Aubameyang) was a high priority for the president,” Hunter told talkSPORT.

“Zidane originally put the stops to it because he wasn’t his kind of player. They went all out for Mbappe and Aubameyang dropped off the list.

“But Mbappe is now definitely going to join PSG - originally on loan with a guaranteed buy next summer.

“Mbappe was in 2012 visiting Madrid, was shown round by Zidane and introduced to Cristiano Ronaldo. There were many meetings between Mbappe’s father and Zidane.

“Until very recently it looked as though Real would get Mbappe and Aubameyang dropped off the list for that reason.

“But Zidane doesn’t want or need to improve his squad.

“But the hard fact is strengthen where you can on deadline day. They’ve shipped out Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez this summer. That’s 31 goals scored last season. That’s a very big loss.”

Watch out everybody

14:15: Thierry Henry has fired a warning to the rest of the Premier League if Gareth Bale returns.

"If he comes, watch out everybody!"
