Matt Critchley: Chamberlain rejected Chelsea for Liverpool move
Liverpool have trumped Chelsea and secured the signature of Oxlade-Chamberlain after the midfielder held talks with both Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte.
With Oxlade-Chamberlain being strongly linked with a move to Anfield, the player’s representatives have announced on Twitter they have “agreed” a deal with Liverpool.
Colossal Sports Management, who also represent Raheem Sterling and Saido Berahino, posted: “DEAL AGREED!!! #LIVERPOOL #YNWA #COLOSSAL @LFC.”
But now Liverpool have confirmed the £40million capture of the England international before the transfer window shuts tomorrow.

Liverpool news: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain snubs Chelsea in favour of Liverpool move
Liverpool-based journalist Matt Critchley told Bein Sports Chelsea had agreed on a deal with Arsenal for Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the player turned down their offer after a discussion with manager Conte.
Critchley added: “He basically rejected that move to Chelsea and has favoured to Liverpool, really because the fact that I think it is to do with his position on the pitch.
“I think he’s had talks with the club here and it was express Oxlade-Chamberlain will be playing in a midfield three, which is his preferred position, rather than as a wing-back, which is where he would have probably would have played at Chelsea, as an alternative for Victor Moses.

“Clearly there has been talks with Jurgen Klopp and people here at Liverpool, and Oxlade-Chamberlain has liked what he’s heard and would prefer a move here to Liverpool rather than Chelsea.”
Liverpool have agreed a £40m deal with Arsenal for the player after the club had agreed the same price with Chelsea for the player.
The 24-year-old will undergo a medical at England training facility St George’s Park as he is away on international duty.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has started each of Arsenal’s four games this season despite expressing to manager Arsene Wenger he would not sign a new contract.
He made 198 appearances for Arsenal since joining them from Southampton in August 2011.
The England international would have represented Liverpool’s club record transfer deal, but the Merseyside club secured the £48m signing of RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita, who joins the club next summer.
