Sky Sports pundit doesn’t rule out Sergio Aguero joining Arsenal from Man City today

SERGIO AGUERO making a shock deadline day move to Arsenal from Manchester City should not be ruled out.

That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester City defender Andy Hinchcliffe.

Aguero was linked in a potential swap deal with Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez earlier this week.

City want Sanchez and have already had a £50million bid rejected for the Chile international.

Hinchcliffe does not think City will let Aguero leave but if he has not been given assurances over his first-team chances, “anything can happen”.

If he’s not starting games and is unhappy, anything can happen

“Unless the player wants to go, there’s no way City will be selling Sergio Aguero,” Hinchcliffe said on Sky Sports.

“City fans would be up in arms (if he joined Arsenal).

“Again, if the player isn’t playing, he didn’t play against Bournemouth, if he’s not starting games and is unhappy, anything can happen.”

The arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January meant Aguero was not the No 1 striker for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Jesus has started all three Premier League games to date this season, two of them upfront with Aguero.

The Argentine was dropped for the 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Aguero has scored 123 league goals in 183 games for City, winning two titles.
