Serge Aurier has completed his move to Tottenham from PSG

The Ivory Coast star replaces Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City for around £50m earlier in the summer.

Aurier, who was also tracked by Manchester United and Chelsea, saw his move to Tottenham slowed down by work permit issues.

But he has finally been granted permission to complete his move to White Hart Lane.

Aurier has signed a five-year deal in north London and Tottenham tweeted: “We are delighted to announce the signing of @Serge_aurier from Paris Saint-Germain.”

Aurier is currently with the Ivory Coast on international duty but could make his debut against Everton on September 9.

“This is a huge and exciting opportunity at a massive football club and I am determined to prove myself as a professional both on and off the pitch,” he said.

“This is a fresh start for me and I will do everything to make the Spurs fanbase, which is huge and diverse, proud of me.

“The fans are the most important people at any club and I am looking forward to showing them and everyone at Spurs the real Serge Aurier.”

Kieran Trippier says he would welcome Serge Aurier signing

Mauricio Pochettino’s other first team right back Kieran Trippier has withdrawn from England’s squad with injury.

Tottenham are also hoping to complete a deal for Fernando Llorente today after hijacking Chelsea’s transfer and moving into pole position.

Llorente is due for a medical today and is expected to be replaced by Wilfried Bony at Swansea.
