Transfer News: Fernando Llorente is set to join Spurs over Chelsea

Spurs have had a £15million bid accepted for the Swansea striker, who had been expected to join Chelsea.

Chelsea were also in talks to sign Llorente but never made an official bid.

And Sky Sports say Llorente is now having a medical at Spurs ahead of his deadline day move.

Llorente was a target for Antonio Conte in the January transfer window but a move to Chelsea never materialised.

Sky Sports add Spurs started negotiations with Swansea to sign the 32-year-old on Tuesday and agreed terms with the Welsh club yesterday morning.

Swansea have lined up a return to the Liberty Stadium for Wilfried Bony from Manchester City to replace Llorente.

Swansea have had a £12m bid for Bony accepted by Manchester City.

Bony will now undergo a Swansea medical this afternoon and complete a return to the club he left for £28m in January 2015.

Swansea wanted to sign Bony before the departure of Spain striker Llorente was finalised.

And Spanish football expert Guillem Balague says Balague to Spurs is a ‘done deal’.

“All done. @fernandollo is a Spurs player. 2 years (plus one) and around £12m #TransferDeadline,” he tweeted.

"Llorente has been in London since this morning with Swansea's permission. Very good signing 4 Spurs. Impact player from bench 4 starters."
