Arsenal have been linked with a move for Thomas Lemar for weeks and have seen multiple offers knocked back by Monaco.

But according to Sky Sports, the Gunners have not been deterred and have returned with a staggering £92m offer on deadline day.

The Ligue 1 champions have driven a hard bargain on Lemar, insisting he would not be sold this summer after seeing their title-winning side torn apart.

However, the report says Arsenal's huge offer has caught their eye and could lead to a deadline-day deal.

Lemar's arrival could have a huge bearing on Alexis Sanchez's future at the Emirates.

Sky claim he will not be sold to Manchester City until a replacement can be found.

The north London club are yet to respond to City's £55m offer and are said to be waiting on a deal for Lemar.

Speaking about the Frenchman's future at Monaco earlier this month, manager Leonardo Jardim admitted the club could struggle to keep him.

“Fabinho, Lemar, Kylian [Mbappe], we're talking about them joining other clubs, but they stay focused,” Jardim said.

"All the players who were important last season are important to keep for the club.

"But it has been shown over the years that it's not always possible to keep the players, and you know how our project works.”
