Arsenal News: Alexis Sanchez unhappier than Philippe Coutinho and Diego Costa - Marcotti
ARSENAL star Alexis Sanchez is more upset at not getting a summer transfer than Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, according to European football expert Gabriele Marcotti.
Sanchez is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and wanted to move to Manchester City during the transfer window.
The Gunners could not source a replacement, with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar turning them down, so the Chilean was forced to stay.
Coutinho handed in a transfer request at Liverpool but the Reds rejected three bids from Barcelona, whereas Costa wanted a return to Atletico Madrid after being told he can leave but a deal failed to materialise.
Costa is currently in Brazil, refusing to return to England, and despite getting a number of fines, Marcotti believes he is more content than Sanchez.

“Yeah he’s getting fined and they’re obviously mounting up,” Marcotti said on ESPN FC.
"In the end, if he moves in January he may not end up paying it, it may come out of his new club or whatever.
“To me there’s no question Alexis is going to be the guy who’s least happy this year.
“Philippe Coutinho’s going to buckle down, he’s going to work hard and he’s going to make his way back into the team.
“Klopp will welcome him back and he’s got a World Cup with Brazil to look forward too. Diego Costa we’ve covered.

Sanchez is currently with the Chile squad but has reportedly suffered an ankle injury in training, which makes him a doubt for the visit of Bournemouth this Saturday.
