However, German magazine SportBild claim the forward has no shortage of offers to leave Bayern.

And among the suitors is said to be Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

The report says all three clubs made enquiries about Muller over the summer, along with Italian champions Juventus.

However, the Germany international was not receptive to a move and is for the moment staying put in Munich.

SportBild claim one important factor in Muller’s decision making is his wife Lisa who lives and works in Munich.

She is a professional dressage rider and the couple have recently moved into a new purpose-built farm in Otterfing, meaning he is unlikely to up sticks and leave.

Muller is also under contract with Bayern for another four years, having extended his deal in December 2015.

He was a product of the Bavarian club’s academy and has since gone on to make 399 appearances in all competitions, scoring 161 goals.
