Arsene Wenger launched a £92million bid for Lemar on deadline day after originally accepting Manchester City’s £60m bid for Alexis Sanchez.

However, the Gunners pulled the plug on the move, as Wenger realised he didn’t have enough time to find a replacement for the Chilean.

And according to the Daily Star, Arsenal will go after Lemar again when the window reopens in January.

The report claims a five-year deal has been agreed in principle.

Along with that, the Star claims the 21-year-old would earn £250,000 a week.

The report also suggests , who is out of contract at the end of the season, to sign a new deal.

It is suggested the Gunners may be forced to accept a bid as little as £30m for the attacker.

Wenger meanwhile, hit back at suggestions earlier today that Lemar didn’t want to join Arsenal.
