Liverpool news: Man City will beat Jurgen Klopp’s side despite last season's win - Burley

MANCHESTER CITY’s attacking prowess will be too much for Liverpool tomorrow (12.30pm), according to pundit Craig Burley.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool are unbeaten after their first three Premier League games of the season.

The Reds have a good record against fellow top six sides and memorably won this fixture 4-1 last season.

However, Burley believes City are a better side this term and with all their star men available, will send Liverpool home with nothing.

“Was that probably Liverpool’s best performance under Jurgen Klopp, 18 months ago?” Burley said on ESPN FC of last season’s win.

“Absolutely fantastic. (Roberto) Firmino as the lads mentioned was great.

Man City are only going to get better and better as the season goes on

“I think when the big names get fit for Manchester City and David Silva is available I believe, who’s a fantastic little player, I’m going to go for City.

“They’re only going to get better and better as the season goes on.”

Liverpool legend and Burley’s colleague Steve Nicol thinks otherwise.

He can see both sides scoring but cancelling each other out with a 2-2 draw.

“Score draw,” Nicol said when asked his prediction.

“It’s so set up for Liverpool to hit them on the counter.

“We know City are vulnerable but Liverpool are vulnerable at the back as well.

"That’s why I’m going for a score draw. Both sides score goals, I’ll go for 2-2 as well.”

Liverpool could hand a debut to £35million signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
