Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater could face Leicester today

Drinkwater could be set for his Chelsea debut at the club he left on deadline day.

Leicester sold Drinkwater for £40million, cashing in on the England international and retaining Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

Drinkwater is yet to play in the Premier League this season due to injury.

And Conte admits he may wait to give the midfielder his Blues debut.

“Danny, we are working with him and trying to make him in the best physical condition,” Conte said.

“It is normal when the transfer window, when you go into another team it’s not simple.

“He is a good buy for us, he has improved his condition and in the squad for the Leicester game but I don’t know when he is ready to play.”

Discussing Leicester, who have started the season with one win and two defeats, Conte said: “Two seasons ago they won the title.

“I think this season I watched their previous game and saw a team very strong.

“They lost a game against Arsenal and at the end we must pay great attention.

“When you have Vardy and Mahrez you must pay great attention. Great experience with Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs.”
