Ederson and Sadio Mane collided as the Liverpool forward attempted to win a long ball over the top in their match with Manchester City today.

The coming-together led to a 10-minute stoppage as the Brazil goalkeeper was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Referee Jon Moss showed Mane a red card, enabling City to dominate the game, running out 5-0 winners.

Ederson had more good news for the City fans after the match, confirming he had not suffered an injury.

“Hello everyone. I'm OK, is a shock. Important victory. We thank you all for the messages,” he wrote on Twitter.

Ederson had been taken to hospital after the incident to check he had not suffered any broken bones.

And Pep Guardiola gave the all clear after the match and praised the 24-year-old for his first-half display.

“The doctor says there is nothing broken,” Guardiola said.

“He also saved us in the first half from Mohamed Salah.

"Mane didn't see him, he was looking at the ball but the impact was huge.

“I don't know if it was a red card.

“I didn't speak about the decision when we had Kyle Walker sent off against Everton so I will not now."
