Eden Hazard made his long-awaited return for Chelsea

Eden Hazard returned for Chelsea today, coming on as a late substitute for Cesc Fabregas in the 2-1 win at Leicester.

The Belgium international has been sidelined for almost three months following surgery on his ankle.

And Antonio Conte was pleased to see him make his return, but urged fans to be patient with him until he is up to speed.

"We know very well the importance of Eden,” Conte said.

“He needs time to find his best. We must be patient and give him the opportunity but I am happy for him."

The 2-1 win also saw another fine performance from new signing Alvaro Morata who bagged his third goal for the Blues.

And Conte was equally impressed with the Spain international who he thinks is improving week by week.

"Alvaro is improving a lot,” he added.

“It is important for strikers to score goals but also to be involved."

And the Chelsea boss thinks his side could have been more clinical against the Foxes, suggesting the scoreline flattered the home side.

“We played very well, we were in total control and could have scored more goals,” he said.

“After the penalty it changed the situation. They tried to push but despite this we had chances to improve the score.”
