Chelsea News: Antonio Conte coy on Eden Hazard return ahead of Champions League bow

CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte has insisted he will not be rushing Eden Hazard back from injury.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard returns to the squad

Hazard has missed Chelsea's start to the new Premier League season with an ankle injury.

And Blues boss Conte has insisted that he will get his chance to perform - but only when the club feel he is ready.

"He is in the group, in the squad and is working well to find the best physical condition," Conte said.

"He needs a bit of time to continue to improve and we must not take a stupid risk with him.

"He will come on to the bench."

Conte will be taking charge of his first European game as Chelsea manager.

The Blues missed out on a place in both the Champions League and Europa League last term after finishing 10th the season before.

And Conte fels Chelsea will have it tough - but has urged his players to get their campion off to a flier against Qarabag FK tomorrow.

"I think it is very important to have this experience as a player and competition," he said.

"Now I think the English team has another difficulty because the league is tough here.

"Before the CL you would rest, it is not easy in England to do this.

"We are ready and we need to rotate the players of my squad and they must be involved.

"We are starting a path and to build something important. You need to grow step by step to be like Real, Bayern and you don’t create a big team easily."
