Real Madrid felt they didn’t need an overhaul in the summer after winning La Liga and the Champions League last season.

Only left-back Theo Hernandez from Atletico Madrid and midfielder Dani Ceballos from Real Betis arrived at the Bernabeu.

But Real have had a mixed start to the new season, having been held to two draws in their opening three La Liga games.

And according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Real boss Zinedine Zidane will be planning how to splash the cash next summer if results don’t turn around before Christmas.

Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea and Chelsea forward Hazard, long-term targets of Real Madrid, are said to be high up on Zidane’s shortlist.

Real nearly signed Dea Gea in 2015 only for the £29million deal to collapse late on deadline day due to paperwork problems, but the 26-year-old is reportedly still keen on a return to Spain.

While Zidane is said to be a huge admirer of Hazard, who recently refused to rule out a move to the Spanish capital.

Don Balon add that Real president Florentino Perez is keen to spend big next summer having missed out on Paris Saint-Germain new boy Kylian Mbappe last month.

The European champions are also said to be interested in signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala and Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Real, who sit seventh in the table, travel to Real Sociedad on Sunday evening looking to make up for their shock 1-1 draw with Levante last time out in La Liga.
