Man Utd transfer news: Anderlecht ready to work on Leander Dendoncker's move

ANDERLECHT are ready to work on a future transfer for Manchester United target Leander Dendoncker.

Leander Dendoncker shows impressive skills in training session

The 22-year-old impressed Jose Mourinho last season when he played against United in April.

And Mourinho tried to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.

And the Anderlecht sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck admits he could move on in the future.

"Dendoncker’s head was elsewhere," he told Sport/Foot about the player's difficult summer.

"He showed his disappointment during training at not being transferred.

“His mate, Tielemans, went to Monaco, he was training with the national team and he wanted, like them, to play in the biggest leagues.

"Certain people in his entourage put pressure on me, on the club or on his agent, Christophe Henrotay.

"Today, we’re prepared to pay him based on his status of key player and to work on his future transfer like we did for Youri.

Leander Dendoncker could leave Anderlecht in the future with Man Utd interested

“In fact, we all have an interest in working together."

The midfielder is believed to be valued between £22m-£31m.

He would be an alternative in the middle for Nemanja Matic who joined from Chelsea this summer.
