Rashford's goal for Man United against Burton Albion

Manchester United’s attacking football has had the Old Trafford crowd drooling this season, with the Red Devils enjoying a stunning start to the new campaign.

Lukaku and Rashford have caught the eye, scoring 12 goals between them so far.

And Sam Peoples of the People Person, writing for The Sun, thinks Jose Mourinho has the club’s best attack at his disposal since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

“Right now, United have the most vibrant and exciting set of attackers we’ve seen since the 2007-08 double-winning side which boasted Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov in their pomp,” he said.

Man Utd News: Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford have been in stunning form this season

“Goals were a problem last season where we drew blank on so many occasion, that’s not going to be an issue this year.

“Romelu Lukaku has five goals in his first five Premier League starts, Marcus Rashford is on five goals in all competitions and Anthony Martial has four.

“Once upon a time Barcelona had Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez – could Lukaku, Rashford and Martial end up becoming our own triumvirate of world class attackers? The potential is there.”

While Rashford has hit the ground running, Anthony Martial is another who has rediscovered his top form.

The France international scored 17 times as the club won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal in the 2015/2016 season.

And while that tally dropped to just eight last term, he has already found the net four times.

And Peoples thinks Martial and Rashford are mesmerising together.

“Rashford and Martial started together for the first time this season in the 4-1 win over Burton and they were absolutely mesmerising,” he added.

“Rashford was clinical in his instinctive finishing, his runs were intelligent and his movement made him unplayable.”
