Man Utd news: Paulo Dybala wanted in £155m bid but face Barcelona competition

MANCHESTER UNITED chief Ed Woodward has reportedly told Paulo Dybala’s representatives Jose Mourinho wants him to move to Old Trafford.

Paulo Dybala’s Juventus highlights

Dybala has made a terrific start to the new Serie A campaign, scoring 10 goals in his opening six fixtures.

The 23-year-old has also scored two hat-tricks against Genoa and Sassuolo already and is just one goal away form equalling his tally of 11 for the whole of last season in the league.

The forward rose to prominence at Juventus last season, playing in behind Gonzalo Higuain as the Italian giants went on to lift their sixth consecutive top flight title.

And Barcelona were said to be closely monitoring the Argentina international during the summer transfer window, but didn’t make an official bid for the striker.

Now the Spanish giants face competition from Manchester United.

That’s according to the Mirror, who claim United transfer negotiator has been in contact with Dybala’s management team.

Juventus are in a strong position as Dybala doesn’t have a release clause in his contract so could demand a huge offer, and United are said to be prepared to pay £155m for his services.

It is also reported Barcelona is his preferred destination, but United are keen to establish an interest in one of the most talented forwards in world football.

Barcelona are already fully aware of Dybala’s talents after the striker scored two goals in last year’s Champions League quarter-finals against Juventus in Turin.
