That is according to former Arsenal forward-turned-pundit Charlie Nicholas.

Arsenal opened up their Europa League account with a 3-1 win over Cologne thanks to goals from Sead Kolasinac, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin.

Since their victory in a game which was delayed by a whole hour due to Cologne fans causing chaos at the Emirates, have gone from strength to strength.

The north London side are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, earning a valiant draw at Chelsea as well as a 2-0 win over West Brom along the way.

Arsenal now find themselves in seventh in the Premier League table and Nicholas reckons their string of good results will be built upon when they take on BATE Borisov in the this evening.

He also thinks the Gunners will field a strong team with Jack Wilshere getting some more crucial first-team minutes under his belt.

“Well, Arsenal are going to have a strong team because I imagine Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere are going to get a good run out again,” Nicholas told

“I think a decent bit of momentum is building with a few good results racked up thanks to some solid defensive performances.
