The Spaniard was reportedly not interested in signing a new deal with Manchester City in the summer.

And with his current contract set to expire in less than two years, Pep Guardiola could consider cashing in.

Silva has been an integral part of City’s flying start to their Premier League campaign.

The diminutive Spaniard has already racked up six assists in sky blue so far this season.

But according to Italian publication Tutti Mercado Web, Silva is considering a future away from Manchester.

They report that both Milan clubs are interested in Silva, but that the Rossoneri are the more serious of the two.

Silva is now in his eighth season with the Citizens, and has made over 300 appearances and scored 51 times for the club.

He cost the Premier League leaders £30million back in 2010, but they would expect to at least recoup their outlay.

Super-rich AC Milan are apparently keen on bringing Silva to Italy in order to overhaul Juventus’ Serie A dominance.

They embarked on a huge spending spree in the last transfer window, signing the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu and Leonardo Bonucci.

But Milan still want even more top names and now seem to be targeting Silva to boost their prowess in the final third.

However, Silva has previously stated that when he finally returns to Spain, his ambition would be to play for Las Palmas in his native Gran Canaria.

“My ultimate ambition to play for Las Palmas,” Silva said during an interview in 2015.

“People say I should go to Real Madrid or Barcelona, but my team is Las Palmas.”
