Chelsea signed Willian for around £30million from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala and he has proved to be a vital attacking cog at Stamford Bridge.

He has won two Premier League titles during his time at Chelsea, the first coming in the 2014-15 season under Jose Mourinho before winning it again last year in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge.

The Brazil international also explained how his transfer to the west London club came about, insisting that his situation was “unusual”.

“The situation was… complicated. Well, not complicated actually. It was more... unusual,” Willian said.
