Alexis Sanchez/Julian Draxler swap deal

04:30: Arsenal are exploring the idea of a potential swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain involving Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Sanchez, who is out of contract at the end of the season, looks destined to leave the north London outfit.

Express Sport understands PSG are ready to offer Sanchez a £10million bonus if he signs a pre-contract in January.

Meanwhile, other reports emerged over the weekend indicating AC Milan are keeping tabs on the 28-year-old.

According to the Daily Star, a move to PSG for Sanchez appears to be more appealing for the Gunners.

The report suggests Arsene Wenger is open to the idea of a swap deal involving Julian Draxler and Sanchez.

Liverpool eye Werner

21:46: Liverpool remain interested in signing RB Leipzig star Timo Werner.

Werner has caught the eye of a number of Europe’s top clubs following a second strong season in Germany.

Website 4th Official claim the 21-year-old is on Jurgen Klopp's radar, although there is no mention of a January deal being prepared.

The Reds could wait until the end of the season before launching an official offer.

Ancelotti break

19:43: Carlo Ancelotti is not interested in managing another club this season.

Chelsea, Everton and West Ham have all been linked to the Italian after he was sacked by Bayern Munich.

But the former Chelsea manager says he is taking a break.

“I will rest for the next 10 months, so no other teams,” Ancelotti said, before being asked about reported unrest among the Bayern squad leading to his sacking.

“It’s best to stay quiet on that.”

Real would sign Kane over Aguero - Burley

15.10: Real Madrid would sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane over Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero if they needed a new frontman, according to Craig Burley.

Burley says Kane is a better finisher than Aguero and at 24, has a longer career ahead of him.

“I personally would go for Harry Kane,” he said on ESPN FC.

“I’ll tell you why, if Karim Benzema was to leave Real Madrid and there was a choice of players between Aguero and Harry Kane, I think Real Madrid would go for Harry Kane.”

Kane would shine at rival - Pearce

13.00: Tottenham star Harry Kane would dramatically improve Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City, according to Stuart Pearce.

Pearce thinks if Kane can continue in his vein of form, Tottenham will receive bids for him next summer.

“Someone will put money down for him at some stage, there’s no doubt,” he said on Sky Sports.

“If he ended up going to Manchester United or Manchester City, it strengthens their hand dramatically, or Chelsea even.”

Sessegnon fee

11.45: Tottenham will have to shell out a whopping £50million to land Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon.

The 17-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in English football but Daniel Levy will not be able to get him on the cheap.

Spurs made a £25m bid for the left-back in the Summer, but the offer was rejected outright by the west London side.

And now the Sun report that the Championship club could demand as much as £50m for him.

Sessegnon has been compared with Gareth Bale due to his ability to dominate a game from his left-back role.

Manchester United are also refusing to drop their interest in the England U19 player, amid reports Joe Mourinho is still unhappy with Luke Shaw.

Villa want Man Utd keeper

07.15: Steve Bruce wants to sign Sam Johnstone on a permanent deal.

The Manchester United keeper is on loan at Villa and has impressed Bruce.

“It would be great to keep him here for the next few years as Villa’s No.1," he said.

“I will need to ask the question. The ideal move for us would be to buy him in January. You’ve seen it, a young goalkeeper coming in and getting better with every game he plays.

“The difference in him since he’s started in January to now is light years. He’s confident, playing every week and he’s playing real football.”

Juventus confirm Emre Can offer

05:30: Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta has confirmed the Serie A giants tried to sign Liverpool star Emre Can, however insists they won’t be returning with a fresh offer in January.

Can has thrown his Liverpool future into doubt by refusing to sign a new deal.

As he is out of contract in July, the 23-year-old midfielder can talk to clubs in January with a view to signing a deal at the end of the season.

But Marotta has closed the door on trying to land Can when the transfer window reopens.

“We don’t think we are going to make a big signing in January,” Marotta told Premium Sport, as quoted by Calciomercato.

“Our team is absolutely competitive and we have some very interesting midfielders like Bentancur who has already showed his qualities.

Barcelona for Goretzka latest

05:00: Barcelona have retracted their interest in Schalke star Leon Goretzka, according to Don Balon.

Goretzka has attracted the interest of some of Europe’s elite clubs in recent months with Barcelona tipped to make a move for him.

His contract runs out at the end of the season and Barcelona scout Ariedo Braida was sent to watch him in action on Friday.

But he insists a move to Barcelona is too soon.

"He is certainly a great player, but for Barcelona it is too soon," said Braida.

"I travel around the world in search of great talent, but our demands are extremely high."

Spanish teen wanted

The Mirror say the 16-year-old has turned down Osasuna’s offer of a new contract.

And the London rivals are ready to take advantage.

Lampard on De Bruyne's Chelsea exit

16:30: Frank Lampard has opened up on why Jose Mourinho allowed Kevin De Bruyne to leave Chelsea in 2014.

He told BT Sport: "It was a difficult time for the club, you had (Eden) Hazard, Oscar, and Willian had just signed. He wasn't as good as he is now.

"Of course, it's easy to look and say 'why did you let him go?', but he's gone away and made himself a world-class player."

Breakaway league?

14:47: The Premier League’s big six will threaten to form a breakaway league if they aren’t given a bigger share of the next foreign-rights deal.

The so-called big six - Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham - are all hoping to get their hands on extra cash.

According to the Mirror, there are crunch talks planned between the Premier League sides on Wednesday and they could look to rebel against the decision if they don’t like the outcome.

The six clubs are demanding 35 per cent of the next overseas deal is distributed by league position rather than an equal share of all 20 clubs.

Cole to Palace

13:35: Carlton Cole has played down speculation he could be about to join Crystal Palace with the club desperate to sign a striker.

“I’ve not heard anything. You never know what happens in football," Cole, who is a free agent, said.

"Clubs need strikers to take the pressure off. Obviously I’m here and ready to go.

"I don’t know what’s going on to be honest. I’m just waiting for a phone call to see if a team is ready for me to go there and see where that takes me.

"Playing up front in the Premier League is hard but I obviously think I’ve got what it takes and I know what it takes. It’s all rumours at the moment so we’ll keep it like that.

"I want to stay in England. I don’t want to go abroad anymore, I’ve done that. Anything close to home would be good for me."

Villa want Johnstone on permanent move

12:30: Aston Villa hope they can get Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a permanent basis in January.

“It would be great to keep him here for the next few years as Villa’s No.1,” said Bruce.

“I will need to ask the question. The ideal move for us would be to buy him in January. You’ve seen it, a young goalkeeper coming in and getting better with every game he plays.

“The difference in him since he’s started in January to now is light years. He’s confident, playing every week and he’s playing real football.”

Liverpool contact Rosenborg

11:22: Liverpool are linked with Norwegian teenager Olaus Jair Skarsem, according to reports in Norway.

They claim the Reds are keeping tabs on the 19-year-old Rosenborg midfielder and have asked for updates on his progress.

The Norwegian side’s sporting director is former Liverpool defender Stig Inge Bjornebye.

And the club hope the familiarity between both parties will speed up the negotiation process and give them the edge.

Conte wants to leave in summer

10:10: Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.

Reports suggested the 48-year-old wanted to leave in the summer after falling out with the board but the Sunday Times claim sources close to Conte have signalled his interest in moving on at the end of the campaign.

They state he was ready to walk away from Chelsea after winning the title but he stayed to avoid handing over a hefty contract termination penalty fee to the club.

The so-called "claw-back clause" has been devised to prevent managers from leaving the club against its will and Conte would have had to pay around £20m if he’d opted to leave.

However, Conte is now willing to leave this summer with his current deal expiring in 2019 after he agreed improved terms in July, but failed to sign a contract extension.

Conte’s advisers are now inviting leading Serie A sides to register their interest in his services.

PSG prepare Sanchez offer

10:00: Paris Saint-Germain will offer Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez a £10million bonus if he signs a pre-contract deal in January.

The Chilean will be a free agent in the summer and those chasing him include both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

City almost clinched a £30m deal last summer, when PSG spoke to Sanchez but couldn’t convince him despite offering £275,000 a week and a huge up-front payment.

Klopp urged to snub Bayern Munich opportunity

09:12: Jurgen Klopp should NOT leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich, says Paul Merson.

Merson told Sky Sports Soccer Saturday: "If Liverpool can sort out their defence they will be big players in this league.

"That Bayern Munich team is ageing. It is a million miles away from winning the Champions League now.

"They might win the German league but I wouldn't leave Liverpool for that."

United should sign Nainggolan - Hislop

08:30: Manchester United should sign Roma’s Radja Nainggolan, says former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been strongly linked with the Belgium international and Hislop feels he would be a good addition to the Red Devils.

“Well understandably he’s always in some sort of transfer rumour, given how good he is,” Hislop told ESPN.

“I’m surprised not one of Europe’s biggest clubs haven’t come in, he’s clearly happy at Roma.

“At the same time, Manchester United do have money to spend, I think there is a need on that left-hand side.

“Daley Blind played on the left in the Champions League game in Moscow.

“Nainggolan is an upgrade on almost anybody anywhere, I’ll be honest with you.

“I’d have him at any single club. If Manchester United get their way, then that can only be a hit.”
