Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks fit for return from injury

The Manchester United striker has been out of action since April when he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Anderlecht.

The 35-year-old was released from his United contract in the summer but the club offered him a new one-year-deal during the transfer window.

Ibrahimovic has taken to social media regularly to keep fans up to date with the progress of his rehabilitation.

But United boss Jose Mourinho calmed played down suggestions Ibrahimovic could make a sooner than expected return.

And now Dr. Freddie Fu, who operated on Ibrahimovic’s knee, has been quoted as saying the striker needs to fully recover before making his return.

"I have no worry about his injury as it always takes time to fully recover,” he told the South China Morning Post.

“In fact the EPL has just started and I am sure Manchester United would not need the player urgently for any crucial game either in the league or European competitions.
