Arsenal transfer news: Odds slashed on Antoine Griezmann moving to the Emirates
ARSENAL have seen their odds of signing Antoine Griezmann slashed by bookmakers.
Griezmann looked set to join Manchester United last summer before Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban was upheld.
The France star then opted to stay put for another season and his international team-mate Alexandre Lacazette wants him to join Arsenal.
“We are very good friends and have lots of fun,” Lacazette told MOTD Mag.
“Our nicknames for each other are Griezzy and Lacaz. If Griezzy visits me in London, I’m going to ask him to sign for Arsenal!”
And Ladbrokes have responded to Lacazette’s message by cutting the odds to just 4/1 that Griezmann will head to the Emirates.
Manchester United remain favourites at 2/1 however while Chelsea are 5/1, Real Madrid 7/1 and PSG 8/1.
Griezmann has struggled a bit this season and was substituted against Leganes with the score still level.
He has scored two La Liga goals in five games as Atletico sit fourth after seven games.
