ALVARO MORATA is targeting a shock return to Chelsea action against Crystal Palace despite suffering grade two hamstring injury.

Morata was expected to be out for up to six weeks after injuring his hamstring during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

After the match, Conte attempted to play down the severity of the injury but after MRI scans with the Spanish national team, it was revealed Morata had a grade two tear.

It meant the striker faced missing league games against Palace, Watford, Bournemouth and Manchester United on November 5.

Morata would also miss the Champions League double-header with Roma and a League Cup tie with Everton.

But it appears Morata is hopeful of returning quicker than first thought.

This afternoon, the Chelsea striker posted a selfie of himself on a treatment table with the caption: “I have no time to lose!

“Working hard towards recovery! Crystal Palace.”

Morata has made an excellent start to his Chelsea career with eight goals in nine appearances in all competitions.
