Man Utd interested in Alexis Sanchez, but accept Man City are more likely to seal deal

MANCHESTER UNITED are not giving up on Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Simon Jordan: Alexis Sanchez will leave Arsenal but in right way

Alexis Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season and there has been no breakthrough in negotiations.

The Chilean’s team-mates are after the pair were no shows for a club media activity day last month.

Ozil hasn’t played in the Gunners’ last two matches, while Sanchez has struggled to impose himself and was left disappointed after a deadline day move to Manchester City fell through.

Although it is unclear where Sanchez will pitch up next summer, The Independent claim United are still monitoring his situation and they are interested.

Jose Mourinho is still interested in Alexis Sanchez

Jose Mourinho was interested in rivalling City for the 28-year-old’s signature over the summer, as the Portuguese tactician saw moves for other targets like Ivan Perisic and Gareth Bale fall through.

The Independent also claim there is a growing feeling at United that Sanchez is more likely to join City.

Other reports emerged yesterday suggesting the Gunners are contemplating a swap deal involving Sanchez and Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler.

Despite only signing Draxler in January, PSG are supposedly ‘tempted’ about the prospect.

Express Sport understands PSG are ready to offer Sanchez a £10million bonus if he signs a pre-contract in January.
