Batshuayi scores magnificent goals during Chelsea training
The 24-year-old could be set for a key role at Chelsea in the coming weeks following news that Alvaro Morata could face a length spell on the sidelines.
The Spain international was diagnosed with a grade two hamstring injury following an MRI scan.
With little over two weeks until the Blues return to action after the international break, the game against Crystal Palace could come too quickly for Morata.
But Antonio Conte left fans scratching their heads in the match against Manchester City when he replaced the injured striker with Willian instead of a like-for-like replacement in Batshuayi.
Perhaps to grumble more, it could work
Michy Batshuayi joked
The Belgium international rarely featured in his debut season at Stamford Bridge last season, starting just one Premier League game.
But his goals-per-minute ratio was one of the best in the league last year.
And this campaign Batshuayi has netted five goals having just spent 361 minutes on the pitch - a goal every 72 minutes.
It remains to be seen whether the former Marseille striker will be handed the chance in Morata’s absence.

But he joked with reporters ahead of Belgium’s World Cup qualifiers that he may have to start grumbling to the Chelsea boss in order to be given more opportunities.
"To score even more, to be even more efficient, to work even more ... Perhaps to grumble more, it could work (laughs) I can not really answer, it's up to the coach to decide,” Batshuayi said.
"I'm very effective when I'm called in. But I'm not a luxury joker, because I've also started to play games, maybe I'm not in the national team, I will be effective, and I will give myself thoroughly.”
