Real Madrid are being tipped to sign Kane from Tottenham after the England forward’s stunning start to the new campaign.

After a difficult August where he was unable to get off the mark, the 24-year-old scored 11 goals for Spurs last month.

Real are on the lookout for a new centre-forward, with Karim Benzema flattering to deceive and the club still hunting a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who joined Chelsea in the summer.

But Spanish outlet Don Balon claims Cristiano Ronaldo has told the board he does not want Kane to become the latest darling of the Bernabeu.

As the club’s all-time leading scorer, the former Manchester United star is an influential figure.

It has previously been reported that, on his say so, Real failed to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Arturo Vidal this summer.

And Don Balon say Ronaldo is using his position as club talisman to dissuade the club from making Kane their new No9.

It is said the 32-year-old is aware that his days of a wing wizard are coming to an end.

And in order to prolong his career, he wants to play down the middle and dislodge Benzema from the team.

Real have enough options out wide to cope with his transition.

Marco Asensio has taken La Liga by storm so far this season and is European football’s most coveted wonderkid.

Gareth Bale’s form has shown signs of picking up after a difficult start to the new campaign.

And Los Blancos are also able to call upon Lucas Vazquez, who reportedly turned down moves to Arsenal and Liverpool in the summer.
