LIVERPOOL striker Divock Origi says he intends to stay at Wolfsburg for only one season before fighting for a place at Anfield.

Origi moved to Wolfsburg on transfer deadline day after growing frustrated with his lack of first-team chances under Jurgen Klopp.

The arrival of Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the window meant Origi’s hopes of football at Liverpool took a significant blow.

Shortly after arriving at Wolfsburg, manager Andreas Jonker was sacked causing more unhelpful distractions for the 22-year-old striker.

But since Martin Schmidt took over, Origi has impressed in all three games, scoring once in the 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.

"That's what we agreed," he told Sky Sports

"A one-year deal. For me it's one year.
