ADAM LALLANA may not have played a single game for Liverpool this season, but he has certainly made a huge impression off the pitch at Melwood.

Lallana has been out of action for Liverpool since picking up an injury during the pre-season.

The attacking midfielder ruptured a tendon in his left thigh during a training session in August but did not require surgery and recently began running in training again.

And the Reds have decided to send Lallana out to the renowned Aspire facility in Qatar to step up his recovery.

But while he has been unavailable for selection this season, he is making a big impact on Liverpool youngster Yan Dhanda on how he looks after himself.

And the versatile forward admits he has learnt a lot from Lallana’s off the field actions.

“Training with those sorts of players, you don’t realise until you see them and think ‘wow, that’s Coutinho or wow, that’s Mane’, Dhanda told the LFCTV. “It’s helped me seeing them on and off the pitch so much.

“Things like what they eat and how they recover, they are straight in the ice bath no complaining and players like Lallana eat incredibly well.

“It’s clear his diet is what gives him the edge. The proteins and the carbohydrates give his body the best chance to perform and the fans love him because of how much energy he has.

“It’s not a coincidence why he is so good at Anfield and players like Coutinho are even better on the training field than on the pitch. I just want to be like them really.”

Liverpool are yet to put a date on when Lallana will return but it has been reported he should be back in action by mid-November.
