Liverpool vs Man Utd: The three reasons Jose Mourinho’s side can beat Reds - Don Hutchison

MANCHESTER UNITED have been told the three key reasons why they can beat rivals Liverpool this Saturday.

Expert reveals how Man Utd can beat Liverpool in Premier League

Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison has outlined how Manchester United can keep up their scintillating start to the season.

He says they must take advantage of the Reds' leaky defence, especially from set pieces.

“The most important thing is to get crosses into the box,” Hutchison told ESPN.

“Liverpool do not defend well. There’s three or four players in the Man United team that are six-foot three, six-foot four.

“(Eric) Bailly at the back if he starts is very physical in the air, (Romelu) Lukaku through the middle, (Nemanja) Matic even coming from the centre of midfield.

“If you get wide, corners in the box, or free kicks, you’re going to be a threat.”

Lukaku has netted seven times in as many Premier League games for United since arriving from Everton in the summer.

Hutchison says he can bully the Liverpool defence on Saturday.

“The main threat for Manchester United is the guy that’s in unbelievable form,” the Scot added.

“Seven in seven, Romelu Lukaku. If he’s fit, he will be a massive weapon for Manchester United.

“He’s so strong, physically he can bully any centre-half. (Joel) Matip and (Dejan) Lovren will have a nightmare day playing against him. I imagine Lukaku to score at Anfield.”

Liverpool vs Man Utd: Hutchison says Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic will be key for the Red Devils

Hutchison says another summer signing, Nemanja Matic, will also be vital after the injury suffered by Marouane Fellaini on international duty.

“The player who’s going to be missed by Manchester United is Marouane Fellaini,” he said.

“Out with a knee injury, he’s going to be missing for a couple of weeks. An ideal replacement is Ander Herrera on one side, with Nemanja Matic in the middle.

“He is going to be key if Manchester United are going to beat Liverpool away from home.

“You need a focal point, somebody that’s going to screen the two centre-halves, sit and protect, dictate the tempo of the game. There’s no better person than Matic.”

Liverpool are without Sadio Mane who suffered a hamstring injury on international duty.
