Marcus Rashford met up with Anthony Joshua ahead of Man Utd's clash with Liverpool

Manchester United travel to Anfield on Saturday (12.30pm) to take on their old rivals Liverpool.

The game is one of the most hotly anticipated in the Premier League calendar and has thrown up some classics over the years.

United will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches, while Jurgen Klopp will be keen to see his side close the gap on the top four.

And it seems Marcus Rashford has been getting in the mood for a tough test by paying a visit to world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The United striker went with his brothers and friends to meet Joshua in Sheffield ahead of his fight against Kubrat Pulev on October 28.

The pair posed ringside for a picture which the England international proudly shared on Instagram with the caption: “Nice to meet the champ."

Joshua also posted the same image along with the message: “We got us.”

The heavyweight is known to have a soft spot for the Red Devils and trained with the first team earlier this summer.

The 27-year-old was presented with a United shirt by Jose Mourinho, emblazoned with his name and the number 1 on the back.

Rashford will return to Carrington this week along with his other international team-mates in preparation for Saturday’s clash with Liverpool.

The Red Devils have already been handed a major boost ahead of the game, with Sadio Mane being ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Phil Jones is also expected to be back in contention for United, despite suffering an injury scare while away with England.
